TIP – prevent clients from editing Gutenberg blocks

WordPress plugins Aug 31, 2020 by Johnny 6 Comments

When you want to use blocks in Gutenberg for clients AND you do NOT want a client to edit a specific element inside the block.

  • For instance, a title or image layout.

Create a CSS class for that element and put pointer-events: none;. Works like a charm! Thanks to Roberto Porcar who told me this (he got it from FB somewhere). This is hilarious!

    Hi Johnny,

I love your blog and your content :)!

I found this gem of a plugin some weeks ago:
    https://happyfiles.io/

Thomas is a nice and awesome developer. At the moment you can buy this plugin LTD for $19. It’s a real steal. Im using it on different sites – it’s AWESOME! And the road map is fantastic too. Price is going up on sept 15th and he asked to share. And I thought Jhonny is the man to share awesome plugins :)!

Would be awesome to see a quick review from you!

    Hope you like it!

Im not connected to Thomas in any way. Only a happy user ;).

Hahaha, yes you should! This thing is awesome. For that you have to find 10 other people to buy it.
