This is a common offer to people with large Youtube channels and strong following/traffic.
My answer is NO!
I’ve gotten constant offers from new video networks trying to grow the amount of content on their platform by offering to do all the work for you. They’ll even copy your content over from Youtube…and promise you higher ad revenue. But it ain’t worth it!
You’re splitting off your potential traffic and stronger branding presence on Youtube…which IMO is worth more than the extra pennies you make elsewhere.
Those other video networks aren’t going to be around 5 years later. I’ve watched 15 years of Youtube and Vimeo go by without another viable threat. Maybe Facebook video and Instagram are the closest thing.
So don’t be foolish and trusting another network unless they’re really strong for your video niche…like gaming videos or something.
Not only that but direct advertisers are only interested in your Youtube traffic and subscriber counts. Having a big presence elsewhere on a not-so-big platform doesn’t mean much.
