How to Negotiate Web-Design Prices (for designers)

Every now and then, you get some client that wants you to do to more, but pays you less.

The worst part is when you start doubting your own rates and your own value.

Makes me sad to hear entrepreneurs think this way. You are a skilled contractor. They’re not only paying you for your time, they’re paying you for your talent. It’s not just drawing shapes but thinking things through to put in the right shapes that produce the best emotions and ultimately the best branding/sales for their business. Anybody can draw shapes. Some do it for $50. Some do it for $50k. Tell them your price is very reasonable for what you offer. When they try to negotiate, tell them you’re happy to remove unnecessary items.
